Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Hilma, available at gethilma.io (“Service”), operated by Grundbulten 161704 AB, org. nr 559590-2999, Redargatan 6, 120 61 Stockholm, Sweden (“we”, “us”, “Hilma”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Hilma is a PR scoring and decisioning tool. It connects to GitHub, issue trackers (Linear, Jira), and analytics tools (PostHog) to provide contextual AI-assisted analysis of pull requests.
The Service is currently in private beta. Features may change without notice. We may modify or discontinue the Service, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes by email.
2. Account and Access
- Access requires a direct invitation. You may not create an account without one.
- You must be at least 18 years old and, if acting on behalf of an organisation, authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it.
- One account per person. Do not share account credentials.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to analyse code or data you are not authorised to access.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its underlying systems.
- Submit content that violates applicable law or the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights.
- Use the Service to process data in a way that violates the privacy rights of individuals, including submitting PRs that contain personal data without appropriate authorisation.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without our written consent.
4. Your Data and Integrations
When you connect GitHub, Linear, Jira, or PostHog, you grant Hilma permission to access and process data from those services for the purpose of providing the Service. You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant this access.
We access the following data from your connected integrations:
- GitHub: PR metadata, diffs, commit messages, PR comments, review status, and check run data.
- Linear / Jira: Issue titles, descriptions, labels, projects, and priorities.
- PostHog: Feature flag definitions and event names. We do not access individual user events or personal data from your PostHog project.
We use this data only to provide the Service to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or disclose it to third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Service Improvement and Aggregated Data
To improve the accuracy and quality of Hilma's evaluations over time, we may use anonymised, aggregated signals derived from your use of the Service — including evaluation outcomes you record — to train and calibrate the Service's models.
This data is never attributed to you or your organisation individually.It is processed only in aggregate form, with no connection to your identity, your organisation's name, your codebase, or your issue content.
You may opt out of this data use at any time by contacting hello@gethilma.io. Opting out will not affect your access to the Service or the quality of evaluations you receive.
6. Intellectual Property
- Hilma and its underlying models, software, and documentation are our intellectual property.
- Your data — code, issues, analytics context — remains yours. We claim no ownership over anything you submit to the Service.
- Evaluation results generated by the Service may be used by you for any lawful purpose, including sharing within your organisation.
7. Beta Disclaimer and Warranties
The Service is provided in beta and on an “as is” basis. We make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Hilma's evaluations are one input into your decision-making process — not a final decision. You remain responsible for all decisions made in connection with your use of the Service.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Hilma's total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed SEK 1,000 (approximately €85).
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from the app settings. On deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the Service. We will provide reasonable notice by email where practicable.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
If you are a consumer, you may also contact the Swedish Consumer Agency (Konsumentverket) or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
